FFXIV's Uolon Mount Has a Separate Token Path

Final Fantasy XIV's Moogle Treasure Trove returns on September 9, 2026, running through October 19 and introducing the Uolon mount as its headline new reward. The limited-time event follows the usual Irregular Tomestone format but ties the Uolon to a separate token system rather than a straight currency purchase, giving it a different shape than the mount reward from this year's Moonfire Faire.

Players earn Irregular Tomestones of Astronomy through featured duties and other event content, exchanging them for cosmetics, minions, and orchestrion rolls at the standard 50-tome tier - Ramuh Crystal, Mameshiba Neckerchief, and The Legendary Beast Orchestrion Roll among them. First-timers unlock access by speaking with the Itinerant Moogle in Limsa Lominsa Lower Decks, New Gridania, or Ul'dah-Steps of Nald, which opens the Mogpendium tab in Collections tracking Standard, Weekly, Minimog, and Ultimog challenges.

The Uolon itself requires 10 tokens rather than a straight tomestone purchase. The Ultimog challenge can be completed once for five tokens, while the Minimog resets weekly for one token each - meaning a player clearing the Ultimog and staying on top of weeklies could reach the mount in roughly five weeks. The exact Minimog and Ultimog objectives hadn't been detailed at time of writing, though past iterations have mixed FATEs, fishing, and Triple Triad alongside battle content.

Square Enix hasn't yet detailed the second half of this two-part Trove, only confirming that progress carries over and further specifics are coming later - likely tied to messaging around the upcoming Evercold expansion cycle. The next Fan Festival, at the end of October, is expected to fill in more of that picture.
